Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is extra funding from the government, designed to help schools to raise the attainment of 'disadvantaged students', by improving their progress and the exam results they achieve.
Schools receive the funding based on the number of pupils they have in January, based on the following criteria:
- Every child receiving free school meals, or has ever had free school meals in the last 6 years
- Looked after, or previously looked after children
- Children with a parent serving in HM Forces or has retired on a pension from the Ministry of Defence
School Leaders decide how the Pupil Premium funding is allocated, as they are best placed to assess the childrens' needs and raise attainment.
If you think that your child falls into one of these catagories, please contact the school on 01484 866071 for a confidential discussion.
