Denby Dale First & Nursery School

Welcome To Our Year 4 Class Page!

This half term our work will be focused around the topic of Ancient Egypt with the question of 'How can we recreate the wonders of Ancient Egypt?' We will be learning all about the Ancient Egyptian civilisation such as the geography of Egypt, pharaohs, pyramids and even Egyptian Gods!

In Maths we will be developing our knowledge and understanding of Place Value, Addition and Subtraction as well as Negative Numbers and Roman Numerals!

TT Rockstars - We aim to complete our challenges 3 times per week in order to improve the speed and accuracy of our times tables.

Pupils are encouraged to access the TT Rockstars website from home in order to further support their progress in this area. (TT Rockstars login details can be found in the back of your child's homework book.)

Our Science topic this half term is Electricity and we are very excited to take part in lots of practical activities, learn about circuits, conductors and insulators, and put our new knowledge to the test by making scientific predictions!
